Hanne Sobek: Johannes ‘Hanne’ Sobek, born March 18, 1900 and dead February 17, 1989, was Hertha BSC’s first great football star. He was the head of the Hertha side that reached six straight German finals and won two of them. He also later coached the club and briefly served as emergency chairman in 1965, though he could not prevent the forced drop from the Bundesliga.
